The time has finally come.

PSA: McDonald's has launched a VIP gold card and it's the good news we so desperately need.

After many years of requests - and us regularly putting this out to the universe - the card has arrived and it means free food.

There are 1,000 cards available to snap up, but you can only get them through playing McDonald's Monopoly.

The game (which usually lasts 41 days), sees fast food lovers collect tiles, just like on a Monopoly board, with millions of prizes up for grabs. These range all the way from free food, to cash prizes, cars and holidays.

And of course, the best prize going: the gold card.

You simply peel-back stickers that are attached to boxes, cups and chip trays, offering instant wins - such as a portion of chips or a cheeseburger - or stickers with codes you can redeem online to collect bigger prizes.

"It's official... Gold is the new black," said a McDonald's spokesperson.

"After years of requests, McDonald's is launching a VIP Gold Card... no Brit Award required.

"The ONLY way you can get your hands on a McDonald's Gold Card is to play. If Stormzy and Ed Sheeran want to get one, they'll have to play Monopoly."

Whoever manages to snap up the card will receive free Maccy's food for a year. We'll just let that sink in...

The fast-food chain also teased fans in a Twitter post earlier this week, where they hinted that the card would be launching.

"You know what's coming. And this year it's going to be even more special. Watch this space #McDonaldsVIP."

Anyone else feel like they are in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory? We *need* one of those gold cards.

With the game starting on Tuesday 24th March and usually lasting 41 days, we won't sleep till we find one of those bad boys.
