Who doesn't love a creamy, chocolate alcoholic beverage to get you into the festive spirit?

And if you're a fan of a Baileys at Christmas then Hotel Chocolat's Mint Chocolat Cream Liqueur drink will be music to your ears.

The smooth chocolate tipple, which is the brainchild of the brand's Chef David Demaison, is "an after-dinner mint and drinkable digestif all in one".

The drink, which tastes like After Eights, boasts fragrant mint oils, peppermint, real cream, vodka and 70 percent dark chocolate.

The liqueur is new this year, and can be bought both in store and via the Hotel Chocolat website.

Describing the delectable drink online, the luxury chocolatier writes: "After spending two years perfecting our original Chocolat Cream Liqueur, Chef David Demaison of our Cacao Innovation Team turned his hand to creating the ultimate mint cream liqueur - an after-dinner mint and drinkable digestif, all in one.

"Taking our Mint Royale selector and Peppermint Super Thin Truffles as the benchmark, David experimented with various fresh and fragrant mint oils until he discovered the ideal blend of cooling peppermint and warming vodka, real cream and 70 percent dark chocolate."

Doesn't that sound delicious?

It's already proving to be a hit with customers, with one fan writing a five-star review about the alcoholic drink, which is vegetarian friendly.

"Wow this is lovely," the reviewer raved. "I ordered bottle to pick up in store. tried on its own first then in velvertiser hot chocolate. Brought another bottle for Christmas as this one will be gone by then. (sic)"

Aside from the sumptuous description, the mint choc beverage, which is sold in 500ml bottles, is most definitely a treat, with a price tag of £25.

In comparison to their £25-priced bottle, Baileys Chocolat Luxe is half the price and cost just £12 in Tesco

However, since Christmas is the time to treat yourself, perhaps this could be counted as a little gift from me-to-me for the festive season.
