Dream job alert - a distillery is looking for people to taste-test their gin.

The Local Gin Company (which makes gin, funnily enough) is looking for gin enthusiast to try their spirits - and will give you several free bottles of gin in return.

Well, that will certainly put a few people in the Christmas spirit (literally).

Free G&T, anyone? (

For those of us looking for a boozy side hustle, the company is looking for testers in London, the South East, the South West, the East of England, the Midlands, Yorkshire and the Humber, the North East and the North West - so basically, all of England.

The chosen applicants will receive regular samples of the company's various gin and pink gin offerings, in return for 'honest feedback' and reviews of the bevvies.

This feedback will determine which gins will be put into its premium subscription gift boxes.

The Local Gin Company describe their ideal candidate as someone who "must enjoy drinking gin served with tonic water and be passionate about supporting local, as all our gins are regionally made."

And of course, gin testers will have to be over 18 to land the role.

Interested? Of course you are! You can sign up for the role here. The deadline for all those applying is December 31st - so be quick.

You'll have no shortage of gin this Christmas (

In other gin news, one company has launched the world's strongest gin - which will no doubt dust away a few cobwebs.

Anno Gin have created a spirit with its alcohol by volume an eye-watering alcohol by volume of 95 per cent.

With our average bottle of gin thought to have around a 40 per cent alcohol by volume content, it's safe to say it'll make more than a few super-strong cocktails.

The extra-punchy beverage, which is flavoured with fennel, coriander, nutmeg and liquorice to off-set its strong taste, is described by Anno Gin as being developed for those "with a taste for adventure and pushing the limits of possibility."
