Calling all vegan pizza lovers: Domino's is finally adding two plant-based options to their menu.

The two vegan offerings will be available from 46 stores across the UK and Ireland and mark a shift in direction for the popular pizza chain.

While other fast food giants now tend to offer vegan alternatives to their popular dishes, Domino's has taken a while to catch up.

But no more, because those on a plant-based diet can now indulge in a spot of guilty pleasure and order from Domino's too.

The new vegan options are the vegan Margherita made with Domino's own vegan cheese and the Vegan Vegi Supreme, topped with a colourful array of fresh veggies, including mushrooms, sweetcorn, onions, green and red peppers and tomatoes.

Both pizzas are made with a base of vegan, hand-stretched dough.

Of course, pizza fans can also switch up their pizzas with any vegan friendly topping, choosing items such as jalapeno peppers or olives.

It's not yet clear whether the vegan pizzas will be rolled out across Domino's full list of restaurants.

What we do know is that the trial new additions will be available in a medium size - priced the same as non-vegan equivalents - and comes complimented by a (vegan) Domino's BBQ dip.

Aman Prasher, Domino's Chief Vegan Dough Developer said: "Our vegan offering has been a while coming because we're determined to make sure it's full of our iconic Domino's flavour. We might not be first but we're always the best - no compromises.

"Our dedicated pizza chefs are incredibly excited for our fans to try this new and improved latest dough as we believe we've nailed it.

"If they agree, and love it as much as we do, Domino's will roll out nationwide. We've now busy working on some toppings and sides -so watch this space!"
