From Biscoff lasagne and Biscoff ice-cream to Biscoff blondies and cookies, we really thought we'd exhausted all the possible desserts that could be made with our favourite Belgium biscuit.
However, we've just discovered that people are now making Biscoff trifles - and it's a whole new ballgame.
Just take a look for yourself:
We've seen all kinds of takes on this little piece of heaven on Instagram, but our favourite has to be this absolute beauty by healthy lifestyle influencer Fiona Dawson which has us drooling all over the place.
"Biscoff Trifle anyone? Oh yes please. That's my end to the day munchies sorted", she captioned her post.
As Fiona's page focuses on mainly healthy treats, she substitutes the usual sugary suspects for low calorie jelly, light custard and light squirty cream, telling her followers that the creation comes in at just 5 smart points. Weight Watchers members are typically assigned 30 points per day as well as varying weekly points based on height, weight, and gender, so we reckon that's pretty good going!
Top tip from Fiona: add your dish to the scales and reset it each time to add the weighted ingredients to ensure you stick to your measurements.
One happy follower commented: "Looks amazing, going to try this at the weekend. Great tip on how to weigh the additional ingredients as I'm literally running out of ramakins every time I cook."
Another said: "Now I know what I'm making for dessert tonight!"
And she's not alone, just check out all these other drool-worthy adaptions of the dessert:
Here's how you can make influencer Beth's (Instagram: sw_bethw) dreamy version of the dessert:
You will need:
- 1 pack sugar free jelly
- Fresh raspberries
- 1 tablespoon instant custard powder
- 200ml skimmed milk
- 1 ½ teaspoon Lotus Biscoff Spread
- 12.5g light squirty cream
- 1 Lotus Biscoff biscuit
- 1 Biscoff sandwich
Step-by-step method:
- For the first layer of the trifle, mix the sugar free jelly with some fresh raspberries and add to the bottom of your dish.
- To make the Biscoff custard, mix the instant custard powder with the milk and 1 teaspoon of the Biscoff spread. Layer on top of the jelly.
- Top with the light squirty cream, ¼ of the Biscoff biscuit crushed and the Biscoff sandwich.
- Optional: drizzle ½ teaspoon of the Biscoff spread around the glass.
Voila!
Lotus is on a role right now, and we can't wait for its latest launch. According to a statement from the company, there will be two different varieties of chocolate bar launching from the brand soon - smooth and creamy milk chocolate with crunchy Biscoff chunks and milk chocolate bars packed with Biscoff spread.
In the meantime, we're off to Aldi for our ingredients.
