We're all for a few hacks to make our Christmas dinners just that little bit easier to cook for the big day itself - but we're not sure whether we'll be trying this one.
One woman has become a viral sensation on TikTok for her unique method of cooking her veg for the big roast.
While many of us stick them in the oven, or choose to boil or steam or veggies, Shannon Doherty suggests you stick them in the dishwasher instead. Seriously.
On her TikTok account @homewithshannon, she explained in a 10 second video with a step-by-step guide of how to use your dishwasher to cook your trimmings.

She begins the guide by asking: "Did you know you can cook your veggies in the dishwasher?
"This is the best holiday dinner hack. Put your veggies in mason jars, add water and run them in a normal dishwasher cycle.
"Instant veggies, best cooking hack."

The video has now been watched over 300,000 times, and liked by more than 12,700 times on TikTok.
However, some pointed out that a flaw in Shannon's cooking "hack".
The average dishwasher cycle lasts between two to four hours - far longer than it takes to just roast, boil or steam them.
"This doesn't even save time," someone commented. "A dishwasher cycle is far longer than just steaming broccoli. Are you okay?"

"That's a huge waste of water and energy," added another.
A third person wrote: "Just a reminder - just because you can, doesn't mean you should."
However, if you're cooking a huge Christmas dinner in a tiny flat, Shannon's tip could help you save on some space.

In other strange Christmas dinner news, you can now buy a Christmas dinner gin to accompany your turkey roast.
Nelson's Distillery & School has combined the tastiest Crimbo dinner components and concocted their own spirit. Sipping it, you'll taste "the sweetness of cranberry fused with the complexity of sage".
Tasters will also get hints of turkey within the beverage.
