Cadbury Confirms Whether Its Chocolate Should Be Kept In The Fridge Or The Cupboard
Does chocolate belong in the fridge or the cupboard? It's the age old debate that has divided households around the world for centuries.
But now Cadbury has finally settled it once and for all. And, sorry, fridge-hoggers... it's time to put your choc back in the pantry where it belongs.
Cadbury Australia were the ones to break the news online, after one Twitter user, Bruno Bouchet, created a 'definitive' list of all items that need to be left in a cupboard or fridge.
He wrote: "The 100 per cent accurate and definitive list of what does and does NOT go in the fridge. Don't bother commenting, this isn't up for discussion," sharing a picture of chocolate bars and other food items including champagne, eggs and tomatoes in the cupboard, while coffee, peanut butter and Ketchup sat in the fridge.

Tagging Cadbury and asking them to confirm his choice, he then penned: "Yo @CadburyAU ... what's the definitive ruling on chocolate storage? Fridge or room temp?"
"Chocolate should always be stored in a slightly cool, dry, dark place such as cupboard or pantry at temperatures less than 21°C to ensure the quality isn't compromised," they replied.
Hi Bruno. Chocolate should always be stored in a slightly cool, dry, dark place such as cupboard or pantry at temperatures less than 21°C to ensure the quality isn't compromised :relieved:

So, that's that then. You can't say we didn't tell you so...
While many people smugly rejoiced (like us), celebrating the fact they were on the winning side of the argument, naturally, Twitter was also awash with others in denial, who weren't having any of it.
"I'm sorry, but cold hard chocolate is elite. Won't hear otherwise," one person responded.
As another agreed: 'I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree @CadburyAU".
A third was so raging that they even called upon Cadbury UK to give them an alternate answer.
"@CadburyUK please sort the ozzies out. They ain't got a clue when it comes to storing chocolate. Fridge!!!!," they joked.
We're sorry, guys. We don't make the rules.
Now let's go and enjoy our non-refrigerated chocolate as Cadbury intended.
