People Are Kicking Off Over This Broccoli 'Burger' With A Purple Bun

The Flower Burger creation has divided opinion on social media.

What would you say if we served you a purple broccoli burger with all the rainbow veggies? We'd personally be whacking it straight on the 'gram.

But it turns out not everyone is as into the idea of a quirkily coloured burger made out of greens.

Yep, Flower Burger's Butterfly Burger has certainly divided the crowds.

The burger is described as being made of "delicious broccoli patty that pairs perfectly with the taste of the Flower Cheddar and a paprika smoky sauce."

The lilac bun is covered with colourful red sesame seeds and stuffed with spiralized carrots, tomatoes and the Gentilina lettuce to "give an unmistakable note of freshness".

Sounds good, right? Well, Twitter is unsure.

When he spotted the burger joint - which has a franchise in London and other branches across the world, including in Italy and Amsterdam - journalist Josh Barrie wrote: "What is going on".

And the replies showed that nobody really knew, either.

"Jesus. I love broccoli and I love a burger. The idea of a broccoli patty is horrendous. Let alone the bloody spiralised carrots and purple bun thing," one person wrote.

While another penned: "I feel queasy".

"Whyyyyy," added someone else.

However, it wasn't all bad.

"I deffo would," wrote one Twitter user, as another quipped that it was "both too much and not enough".

The flower burger is completely vegan, and was first invented in Milan. You can find the London branch on Charlotte Street in Soho, and also on Deliveroo and Uber Eats.

The menu doesn't stop there either, as there's also tonnes of other burgers such as a jungle burger - a red bean patty in a fluorescent green bun - and a chickpea, tangy chickpea, spicy chickpea burger. Our favourite is probably the cherry bomb, which comes with a lentil burger and hot pink bun.

Be warned, the restaurant is as brightly coloured and psychedelic as the burger itself!
