We've all stood in John Lewis or Selfridges lusting over Le Creuset's stunning cast iron cookware, only to (unless you're very lucky) take a very quick step back when you check the price tag. For up to as much as £425, the Le Creuset cookware ranges are a real investment, but if you can afford it, they're well worth it for the style and quality.
Now, however, their signature style is being made available to people with far smaller budgets. Aldi are launching a brand new Cast Iron Cookware range that offers shoppers potential hundreds of pounds of savings on very similar-looking items.
Among other things, cooks love Cast Iron for its durability, longevity, and heat retention. However it can be expensive. Aldi's range offers budding chefs the change to cook with the product on a smaller budget, with a selection of non-stick skillets, grill trays, frying pans, tagines, roasters, and a casserole dish starting from just £12.99 with the most expensive item costing under £25. The items are all available in cream, grey and red and will likely run out when they sell out. Aldi reports a potential saving of up to 90% when compared to Le Creuset, which is major.

The items will be available instore and online from the 20th of September and you can preorder here from the 16th. As you can see, they're a dead dupe for Le Creuset, right down to the ombre shading on the design. Only time will tell if they hold up as well as Le Creuset, but for the price tag, it's worth giving it a go and seeing how you get on with the pieces. At less than £25, it isn't too much of a risk.
