Gordon Ramsay Stands By His 'Expensive' Full English Breakfast

“If you're worried about the price, you can't f***ing afford it.”

Gordon Ramsay has hit back at critics of his £19 Full English Breakfast at London's Savoy Grill.

The 54-year-old chef, whose restaurants boast a total of seven Michelin stars, previously faced a barrage of complaints on social media for the brekkie - with many complaining the portion was too small, was missing vital components of a regular Full English, and carried too hefty a price tag.

But now, Gordon has insisted that his spenny breakfast is no Kitchen Nightmare, saying he strongly disagreed with the critics who he deemed "naysayers".

"I stand by it. I swear by it. And it is one meal that I would ever eat as a last supper," he told Insider.

"It has to be a full English breakfast with extra baked beans.

"If you're worried about the price, you can't f***ing afford it."

For those of you yet to sample Gordon's culinary delight, his now infamous Full English is comprised of two eggs, slices of bacon, one mushroom cap, one slice of tomato, one sausage link, and a small gravy boat of baked beans.

After a picture of it was posted on Twitter, many replied to the snap with photos of what they believed a "proper" English breakfast should look like.

And Gordon's version is not his only meal that has been slammed on social media.

When showing off his turkey Wellington on Instagram, Gordon's gravy came under fire, with many believing The F Word star had made it too thin.

He clapped back: "There's no delicious thick gravy anywhere.

"So for any muppet out there that says my gravy looks thin, that's because it's a proper gravy. Again, if they're not 100% certain, and they don't like my gravy, f*** off to James Oliver's recipe."

Well, that's us told.

In more cheerful news, Ramsay will be off on more adventures with chef pal Gino D'Acampo and Fred Sirieix for more Gordon, Gino And Fred: Road Trip.

Their new journeys come after the cheeky threesome went to Lapland to meet Santa for their 2020 Christmas special.
