Twinning is big with celebrity mums and their kids (just look at Kim and North), but for regular mums and their little ones, it can be a little less accessible due to the lack of options on the high street. Plus, it can veer into a slightly, let's say, cheesy territory.

But that's where River Island come in. They've teamed up with two tiny influencers - cute kids Silver & Lux - to co-design a collection with their mums - celebrity hair stylist Lou Teasdale and Bleach founder Emi Ozmen. Ozmen also runs a mummy blog on the side.

The 12-piece collection is exclusive to River Island, and is just what mums with toddlers need if they want to twin while still looking cute and cool. The range features slogan teens, a denim two-piece, floral tracksuits, cute co-ords, 70s-style prints, and other cute pieces that are fit for mum and toddler while being simultaneously classy and playful.

River Island spoke to Lou and Emi about the collection, who said that they "wanted to design a twinning collection that wasn't cheesy to wear".

They added: "It's our guilty pleasure twinning with the girls but it's hard to find cool or vintage styles. We have always loved vintage clothing so we've taken a lot of the patterns and colours from the 70s".

Discussing how they got around the issue of finding clothes that suited both adults and kids, they said: "we had a big brainstorm and sent each other all our fave mum and daughter looks and we both loved little flares and slogan t-shirts so it was really clear we wanted the collaboration to have quite a retro and 70s feel".

The collection is available now, and the prices range from a very reasonable £10 to £55 for the clothes, which include everything from jeans to two-pieces to jackets.
