We Regret To Inform You That Chunky 90s Highlights Are Making A Comeback

There are some trends that should be firmly left in the nineties - super-baggy jeans, platform shoes and giant flares are just a few we can think of.

However, there is one nineties relic that is back with a vengeance in 2021, and it's set to split opinion.

Bella Hadid has showed off her retro new look on Instagram, with the 24-year-old debuting chunky block highlights - and to complete her throwback style, Bella paired her new 'do with a tie-dye khaki hoodie.

The supermodel has opted for vibrant red and orange layers at the front of face a la Ginger Spice from The Spice Girls.

It's not a particularly easy look to pull off (we don't all have Bella's enviable bone structure, unfortunately) but it's one that's becoming increasingly popular.

The boldest take on the trend is to add bold blonde streaks to the very front of black hair, which has been pulled off by these gorgeous girlies here.

However, if you're scared that this trend might make you look more Cruella Dev Vil than nineties cool, there are more subtle ways to approach the trend.

Those with brown hair can add multi-layered richness to their locks by adding bright blonde chunky highlights which can frame and lift your features.

Think of it as a slightly bolder balayage...
