Aldi Is Selling A Spider Catcher To Save You From September Invasions
It's almost September, which means spider season.
Luckily for us, Aldi are soon to be selling a spider catcher, a device which allows us to humanely dispose of the eight-legged houseguests - sans glass, paper and terrified squeals. (Just us?)
The catcher works a bit like a litter picker, but instead of a clasp at the bottom, gentle bristles catch spiders and daddy-long-legs without harm, while the long rod means you can catch them in hard-to-reach areas.
"Do spiders give you the chills? Then this Spider Catcher is the perfect device for you. Easy to use, this is a quick and simple way for you to remove spiders from your home without harming them. Great for hard to reach places, you can simply pick-up spiders, daddy long legs and other bugs with the gentle bristles that work to contain them, before popping them outside," says Aldi of the product.
The spider catcher is available in stores from Sunday 25th August for £7.99. You can even pre-order your catcher online now to prepare battle lines for the spider invasion, but it'll come with a delivery charge starting at £2.95.
The product has already received one review (presumably from a tester), who rather brilliantly wrote: "Does work. Been a 'lifesaver' for my husband, when I've not been home."
If Aldi's spider catcher isn't enough to quell your spider fears, then consider downloading Arachnophobia Free, an app developed by two UK consultant psychiatrists which promises change you mindset when it comes to the creepy crawlies.
The app uses this fancy pants thing called 'systematic desensitisation', which basically means it gradually exposes you to your fear or anxieties.
ORRR you could just live in eternal fear until spring rolls back around. Yeah, we'll be doing that.
