Succulent Pumpkins Are The Cutest Halloween Trend To Try At Home

Halloween but make it chic.

If you're looking for a way to celebrate spooky season that doesn't involve fake cobwebs and blood, look no further than the latest chic Halloween trend to grace our Pinterest boards: succulent pumpkins.

Instead of carving scary faces into your pumpkins this year, succulent pumpkins provide an alternative use for the autumnal squash that sees them topped with all manner of gorgeous mini succies.

Good look how great they look:

You can make a succulent pumpkin quite easily yourself by carving the top out of a normal pumpkin and filling it with pre-soaked sphagnum moss - an essential tool of planting succulents.

Once in place, you can simply start arranging your mini succulents (for the most eye-pleasing effect buy them in lots of different sizes, shapes and colours) into a gorgeous arrangement, like so:

Like anything these days, there's of course the option to shell out and buy a pre-made one if you're not the most green-fingered of people.

You can buy a succulent pumpkin for £59.95 on Flowerbox, otherwise, there's the option to buy some rather cute mini white ones over on Etsy.

The best thing about succulent pumpkins is that once your pumpkin does start to decay, you can simply remove your mini succulents and replant them elsewhere.

Happy Halloween all!
