With England entering Lockdown 2, Brits across the country deciding to put their festive decorations up early - and why the hell not?

This year a new wave of rainbow Christmas trees has entered the market, and people are snapping them up as a fitting tribute to the NHS.

This year has been wildly different in so many ways, so it makes sense that our Christmas decs would be having a revamp, too.

Argos is selling a 5ft rainbow Christmas tree for £35 and shoppers are calling it the perfect antidote to such a rubbish year.

"I can't wait to get this up for Xmas! Will defo cheer us all up after such a horrible year," one person wrote.

Meanwhile, Asda's 5ft rainbow fir tree has been described as a "fitting" choice by shoppers looking to pay tribute to our wonderful NHS this year.

The £50 tree features stripes of green, purple, orange, red, yellow, and blue, with one person writing: "It goes perfectly well with any colour bauble because all colours are a part of the rainbow.

This year has seen the rainbow widely adopted as a symbol of solidarity and support for key workers (

"As the rainbow has represented the NHS this year in more ways than one, it's a fitting end to a less than positive year."

While another added: "With what is going on in the world, a rainbow tree is fitting and we will make it into a NHS tree to say our thanks for keeping us safe during the pandemic."

This Wilko style is £30 (

At a slightly cheaper price, Wilko is also selling a colourful rainbow tree. The slim design is 5ft, with five different colours and priced at £30.

Speaking about the tree, one person suggested Brits could pop one of the trees outside their homes this winter, instead of clapping for the NHS.

"2020 needs cheering up, why not a rainbow tree? Put one outside instead of clapping for NHS, this could be for everyone."

We think these would look super cute outside our front doors - with some twinkling fairy lights of course.

Paperchase has a 2ft style priced at £12 (
