ASDA Teapot Leaves Shoppers In Hysterics With 'X-Rated' Spout

Shoppers thought the spout was supposed to present something a little more NSFW.

A teapot in ASDA's home range has gone viral after shoppers pointed out that its spout falls in a very unfortunate place.

The white teapot is shaped like a rabbit and comes in a green striped sweater, which doubles up as a tea cosy to keep your brew warm as it mashes.

But protruding out of his snuggly knit is the spout, and its position makes the teapot look a little ruder than intended.

Naturally, it hasn't gone unnoticed by shoppers, who have all flocked to social media over recent weeks to point out the NSFW design 'flaw'.

ASDA

"Just found a teapot that looks like a fully erect bunny if anyone is interested. It's reduced in Asda at the moment," exclaimed one person.

While another wrote on Twitter: "I have a suspicion that @ASDA didn't really think about the look of this teapot...Giving you a dose of the "Hot Stuff"."

"Not sure what @asda is thinking?!" added a third baffled customer, sharing a snap of said rabbit teapot to the social media platform.

A fourth joked: "Is it only me who thinks the rabbit should be called Randy?"

The supermarket giant describes the teapot as: "Keep your tea toasty and warm with this bunny rabbit teapot from George Home, complete with an adorable knitted jumper. The unique bunny design will leave you feeling tempted to dunk carrots instead of biscuits, but we don't recommend it."

An ASDA spokesperson told Pretty52: "The innocent eyes of the Asda press office can't see anything untoward with our bunny rabbit tea pot, but we are glad to see everyone is getting excited for Easter."

And if you have a soft spot for x-rated bunny homeware, you can purchase one of the teapots for £7, down from their usual £9 price tag, online and in-store.

M&S

ASDA isn't the only supermarket serving up accidentally x-rated products this Easter as M&S caused social media chaos with its yoga pose chocolate bunny.
