We have spent years growing out over over plucked eyebrows from the nineties and the noughties, only for bad gal Riri to pop up on the cover of Vogue (of all places) with pencil thin brows.

WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO US, RIHANNA?

Naturally, everyone's feeling just as stressed as us about the potential brow trend, as just because Riri rocks it, it doesn't mean that we can too.

Social media is obviously in uproar, and people can't cope at the thought of having to pluck out all of their busy brows in the name of fashion.

"I will say this right now... not even Rihanna will bring back the thin eyebrows trend back. i will never go back to thin eyebrows!! never!!" raged one person.

Somebody else declared: "Rihanna, why are you trying to bring the skinny eyebrow back? I refuse. I'm keeping my bushy brows for good now. You have no idea how long it took to eradicate the mistakes of the past."

"I don't care what Rihanna says -- I'm not shaving off my eyebrows," announced a third.

Another outraged person tweeted: "NO, RIHANNA. NO. I ONLY JUST RECOVERED AND FINALLY LIKE MY EYEBROWS. NO."

Not everyone was so angered by the Vogue cover though, as those of us who have been blessed with thinner natural brows rejoiced at the pop star's striking look.

But as loads of people pointed out, the pencil thin brows are more of an editorial look than daily one.

Enough with Rihanna's eyebrows for now, as it was actually the first time a black woman had appeared on the September cover of Vogue for the first time in its 102-year history.

Rihanna's make-up look was also created by Isamaya Ffrench using all Fenty Beauty products (Riri's beauty line, if you don't know).

While our gal Rihanna can rock any kind of brow, let's just keep our tweezers kept safely locked away. For now, anyway.
