Neon Lashes Are The Next Big Beauty Trend, And We're Here For Them

Neon Lashes Are The Next Big Beauty Trend, And We're Here For Them

Forget boring black mascara, it's time to dress up your eyelashes in the boldest shades of neon, as seen at Paris Fashion Week

If you had a close eye on the catwalk at Paris Fashion Week earlier this month, you might have spotted a bright new beauty trend: neon lashes.

Forget about traditional black or brown mascaras, this trend is all about making your eyes pop in the brightest of ways: with bold neon shades.

The eye-catching trend was seen on the catwalk at the Manish Arora show, with models sporting lashes in the brightest of neon hues.

The look was soon copied on Instagram, with beauty aficionados using a range of eye dusts, pigments, palettes and more to create their own versions of the showstopping look.

At the Manish Arora show, makeup artists also lightly scattered loose pigments of the same colour as the lash over the model's faces, but for a (relatively) low-key option, feel free to work the neon just on your lashes.

It's not just on the eyelashes that neon is the next big thing: you just had to take one look at the SS19 catwalks to see that fluorescent hues are here to stay.

And in terms of new beauty trends, neon lashes are far from the most unusual thing we've seen in recent months.

Women took to the internet just a couple of months ago to share pictures of their unicorn armpit hair in honour of Januhairy, dying their armpit fuzz all the colours of the rainbow to celebrate body positivity.

In honour of Christmas, women made their eyebrows extra snazzy and festive, like mini Christmas trees, and in more bizarre beauty news, people have even been decking out their nails to look just like... erm, teeth.

If you're a devotee of Instagram, don't just sport some neon lashes, though: make sure you share your finished result in the form of an "Instaception" post for top millennial marks.
