'Love Island': Michael Griffiths Keeps Shaving His Forehead And We Don't Know What To Think

We decided to investigate after spying the firefighter taking razor to forehead or more than one occasion...

We're not shocked by much these days, what with Donald Trump in power and sea levels rising by 0.42mm per year.

But that hasn't stopped us from being deeply shaken by some recent Love Island activity: Michael Griffiths has been shaving his forehead, everyone.

Here at Pretty52 we like to keep a close eye on all things Love Island, and spotted the Liverpudlian performing a rather unusual grooming habit in a recent episode.

We thought we might have imagined it, until we saw the 27-year-old doing de-hairing his gleaming crown yet AGAIN more recently. So naturally, we decided to investigate...

Michael takes razor to forehead (
ITV2)

Michael first put razor to forehead on Tuesday 9th July (you're welcome) as the Islanders got ready for the night's events. For context, this was the same day Amy Hart left the villa, and shortly before Chris Taylor and Francesca Allen's arrival.

The second sighting took place on Monday - the night after Joanna was dumped from the villa.

The two shave-athons came six days apart, though we are unable how many times Michael may have shaved his forehead in the interim.

Is this a thing? Or is Michael just being overzealous with his grooming? The man does shave his pits after all, why stop there?

But turns out, it's kind of normal; celebrity stylist Jason Collier, who has worked with the likes of Justin Timberlake, told Pretty52: "This is common practice among men. It's a great way of cleaning the hairline to show off a precise and clean haircut." More fool us!

For men looking to achieve a hairline as sharp as Michael's, Jason recommends using a soothing shampoo and conditioner beforehand "to ensure your scalp and skin are in best condition" but warns groomers to be careful as "shaving your hairline can easily look very harsh and make you look like a Lego man figure."

So there you have it, next time you spot Michael going to town on his forehead, that's what he's up to. Grooming 101.
