Hair Salon Says People Over A Certain Height Have To Pay More To Have A Cut
Turns out hair salons are going further than simply charging women the Pink Tax for having a vagina as well as hair, as an anonymous hair salon is alienating customers further with a bizarre set of stringent rules.
Are Hair Stylists expecting too much from their clients?
An anonymous Hair Stylist has put a height restriction on her clients and we're not just talking about hair.

The unnamed stylist shared an Instagram Story stating that anyone taller than 5'8″ and/or with hair that reaches down to their bra strap, has to pay more for their haircut.
Their Insta story said the salon requires pictures of your current hair during the initial consultation (you know, because their customers are liars) and those who aren't honest about their hair's real length will have to pay an additional charge.
The offensive Instagram story, which was seen by over 1,000 people before it expired, read: "Please note that the price is subject to change.
"If you are above the height of 5'8″, there is an additional charge, if your hair is bra strap length or longer, there is an additional charge.
"If you incorrectly measure your hair, the scheduled length you initially booked may be changed and additional costs will be added accordingly.
"Also, current pictures of your hair are required at the time of your consultation."
So basically if you're slightly above average height and have long hair, you're going to pay for it.
An image of the concerning story was shared on Twitter by a UK-based salon review platform, who captioned the image: "Are Hair Stylists expecting too much from their clients? An anonymous Hair Stylist has put a height restriction on her clients and we're not just talking about hair. Thoughts?"
Twitter replied with a resounding 'yes'.
One person tweeted: "This hair stylist has lost her damn mind! What in the world has height got to do with length of hair! And so what if your hair is long is not still the same hair style?"
Another commented: "Honestly how mad must you be to put height requirement on hair is it because she can't reach or..."
A third simply said: "LOOL sigh"
Hair Advisor UK told Metro they thought the rules were a confusing money-making scheme: "We view this as a bad idea because it is discrimination against a specific group of people when there is no correlation between a person's height and length of hair."
"An individual's height should not affect the price of service they receive! We believe the hair stylist did this to attain more money from her clients at any means possible."
While this may be an extreme case, there are various discrepancies between what salons charge for their services.
Longer, thicker hair or trickier styles often incur a charge because it takes more time and more product to have the desired the more effect.
What doesn't cost a hairstylist more? Having lady parts. Here's hoping gender-neutral (currently available in Supercuts nationwide) pricing rolls out to more salons soon.
