We wish we'd known about this years ago.

There's nothing more frustrating than reaching the last pump of your foundation bottle, only to see heaps of the product still there clinging to the sides, taunting us.

We inevitably end up throwing the bottle away and buying a new one - but did you know there's a way to make sure you use up every last millilitre of your foundation?

A makeup hack posted on online is going viral, and we're just fuming we didn't know about it years ago!

We'd never thought of this! (

First spotted on Facebook Group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK and re-shared by member Francesca Hannah, the hack sees boiling water used to melt away the product from the inside of the bottle.

"Thank you to whoever posted this money saving tip. I have been wondering how to do this for years. I reckon I have almost enough for a new bottle!," said Francesca.

You simply have to round up your nearly-empty foundation bottles, and get the kettle on boil.

When boiled, add a small amount of water to each foundation bottle. Once you give the bottles a shake you'll apparently see the product drop away from the sides of the bottle.

Next, you simply put this new product into a new container. According to Francesca: "You will then see the water separate from the foundation and you can tip this away."

The post has since received over 1,800 liked and 700 comments with people tagging their friends to share the clever tip.

This is genius and will no doubt save us a ton of money in the long run. We'll be doing this forevermore.

For a bonus beauty hack, ever wondered how is best to clean your beauty blenders?

Mrs Hinch revealed on Instagram that you just need to pop them in a sock, seal with a bobble and pop in the washing machine.

Simple but effective. You're welcome!
