Glossier Launches Six New Generation G Lipsticks

Millennial-favourite Glossier just dropped six shades of its reformulated Generation G lipsticks.

The products aren't exactly new to the beauty brand, but Glossier has changed the formula and packaging in response to shoppers' feedback.

Before, some found that Glossier's formula was too drying, the too-slim bullet snapped while using it and the packaging was prone to cracking.

Glossier, which has built its brand by listening to its customers' demands and concerns on social media, removed the product from purchase and built on them using shoppers' comments.

The sheer yet buildable matte lipsticks are now back and better than ever, and there are a plethora of pretty colours to choose from, each priced at £14 online.

Beauty brand Glossier is promising 'a smoother, softer, more cushion-y texture that gives you the classic, diffused look' as well as a 'truer matte finish'.

The lipsticks' packaging is also stronger than before, but is still true to the 'holy grail' cosmetics brand's sleek designs.

'Crush' is a hot raspberry pink, 'Cake' is a subtle peach, 'Like' is a cool pink, 'Zip' is a poppy red, 'Leo' is a neutral cocoa brown and 'Jam' is a deep berry meaning there's a shade to suit everyone.

Each shade will look a little bit different on each wearer as your natural lip colour will show through the 'blotted' finish.

Gen G contains moisturising ingredients like lecithin, polymers, and sunflower waxes to keep it from drying out lips.

As with all UK Glossier purchases, you can only buy these online as a store is yet to launch here, although the brand's flagship just opened in NYC.

It's fair to say the reveal has gone down a storm with Glossier fans, who have praised the beauty brand for listening to their demands.

"Leave it to Glossier to sell me something I already own," shared one, while another added: "OMG MY PRAYERS HAVE BEEN ANSWERED!!"
