While coating false lashes with mascara might give the length and volume of our dreams, it limits how many times we can use sets before they start to look super clumpy.

But rather than chucking endless pairs of lashes in the bin after just one or two uses, there's an easy hack you can use to clean them back to their former glory.

Facebook page 5 Minutes Craft has come up with an easy way to soak off all the leftover liner, glue, eyeshadow and mascara from your fake lashes without damaging them so you can use them as new.

Better still, the method uses just one ingredient that you'll probably already have in your daily routine.

All you need to do is pour some micellar water from any brand of your choice - we love this all natural one from Sukin - into a bowl.

The Facebook page suggested using a Garnier one, but any will work for this trick.

Pop the lashes in to soak for 15 minutes before pulling them out onto a tissue to soak up any water.

Using a clean mascara spoolie, brush through the lashes to make sure they are all fluffy again.

Leave them to dry properly, and you can use them again and again.

Micellar water contains clever cleaning agents which work like magnets to banish impurities and dirt.

As well as removing make-up and cleaning false lashes, Micellar water has another handy use.

One woman recently revealed you can use the product to get stains out of suede.

Posting a snap of her mucky heels in a now-viral tweet, Twitter user @kieraohagan revealed that the make-up remover had cleaned all the dirt off and left no marks behind.

"Micellar water has just took all the stains out my suede heels," she wrote. "Everyone needs to try this."

There's no complicated methods either, as @kieraohagan says she just squirted the water onto a cotton pad before rubbing away at the dark stains on her heels. Genius.
