Thanks to several months' worth of lockdown, we've become more than acquainted with buying the vast bulk of our goods online - with varying results.

Yep, we've had some whopping online shopping fails, but this one is well and truly...pants.

Poor Juanita McGowen, 39, was left amused and aghast when she received a giant pair of knickers in the post - instead of the size 12's she thought she'd ordered.

The mum-of-one unboxed the briefs, which were labelled as size 16 next to a pair of her ordinary pants, and it's safe to say that they're clearly not what she ordered (or even a size 16, come to that).

Juanita, a marketing manager, from Cleveland, Ohio, US, said: "When I opened the package, my husband and I were literally on the floor laughing.

"I just wanted to order some basic pants and so I went to a site which had different vendors, that's a bit like Amazon.

"A few days later there was a delivery from a really overtly funny company name which I didn't recognise.

"It was a big lump of a package which left me feeling a bit confused because I just ordered a 10-pack of underwear. I wasn't expecting the parcel to be that large.

"When I pulled them out and put them beside my waist, it was so funny.

"On the delivery note, it claimed they were size 16 but they were clearly bigger than that - who knows what size they actually were.

"I could've probably fit three of me in one pair which is hilarious."

After being left slightly embarrassed but still amused, Juanita took a photo of herself next to the giant pants before returning them for a refund.

She added: "Normally when I order from these types of websites, the items are too small but to have the polar opposite was certainly fun in this case.

"My husband is a musician and had a gig coming up the following weekend and we joked that we should keep a pair behind and throw it onstage for a laugh.

"After posting a photo of me with the huge pants on social media, everyone had a good laugh - my mother was so shocked and thought I was making it up at first.

"I even showed the photo to the lady at customer services and she certainly appreciated the humour behind it all.

"It was nice to give everyone a bit of a giggle with my shopping fail."

Ah, don't worry Juanita - it happens to us all.
