A fashion lover has shared a stark warning to Zara shoppers after discovering a pair of leather trousers she purchased makes it sound like she's farting.

Julia Leonard, from Putnam Valley, New York, shared the warning on TikTok, where she pre-cursed her video: "Please just keep watching if you shop at Zara."

She explained that she'd recently purchased the offending trousers - a flared pair from high street fave Zara - and decided to debut them on a meal out with her family.

"Thank god it was just my family," she went on. "On our way out, my sister drops her phone, so I go down to pick it up, and this happens..."

Julia then demonstrated squatting down to fetch her sister's phone, when - well, just take a look for yourself...

As Julia squats, the friction from the trousers give off an unfortunate sound... not what you need in a packed restaurant.

"So here's a warning if you want to buy these pants, don't bend down!" she warned.

Speaking to Buzzfeed about the embarrassing discovery, Julia explained that her sister was initially disgusted, thinking she had casually let off wind in the restaurant.

"She looked at me and I thought, 'That wasn't me. What the hell just happened?'" Leonard said. "[My sister] was like, 'You're disgusting!'"

"My family was cracking up hysterically," she went on. "They made me do it over and over again and made a show out of it. I did a whole HIIT workout for how much my legs were going up and down."

Currently, Julia's warning has been viewed over 2 million times.

Surprisingly, instead of putting people off ordering the trousers altogether, Julia said her viral TikTok has resulted in people asking where they could buy the flattering style.

"It's just funny something so little like that could blow up so big," she said. "I thought people would be like, 'I'm not buying these,' but it's totally the opposite effect. I was like, what the heck?"

Erm... we think we'll pass! Cute trousers, though.
