This Mother's Day, Morrisons is making sure every young person can afford to get their mums something special by offering a low-cost bouquet that children can gift without breaking the piggy bank.

The limited edition Llama Bouquet, made up of four flowers (chrysanthemums, santini, carnations and gypsophila), costs just £3.50.

The average UK child earn's £5 of pocket money each week, so there will be still a little left over for a card after buying the bouquet this Mother's Day.

The bouquet also includes specially tinted 'dip-dye effect' blooms and features a llama motif, which some have said is the next creature craze tipped to rival the unicorn.

Morrisons has decided to offer this product after listening to concerns from its younger customers who said they wanted to get something for their mums on mother's day that they could actually afford.

The supermarket carried out its own research and found that on average, children in the UK earn just over £5 of pocket money per week.

"Many of our younger customers want to show their appreciation for their mums," says Donna Heywood, Flower Buyer at Morrisons. "That's why we've worked hard to make the Llama Bouquet affordable for sons and daughters around the UK."

The Llama Bouquet will be available in all 494 Morrisons stores from the 27th March and is just one of 18 Mothers Day floral gifts on offer.
