People Shocked As Bridesmaid Alters Dress Just Days Before Wedding

Brittney Rae switched up her velvet green dress before the big day.

Have you ever felt your bridesmaid’s dress for your pal’s big day is just a little too frumpy? Wished you had the skills to switch it up and make it more glam?

Well, TikToker Brittney Rae did just that – sketching out a pattern and digging out her sewing machine to make her emerald green outfit a little sexier.

Watch the video below.

But while we love her new take on the velvet bridesmaid’s dress, other people on the video sharing platform were less convinced, saying that Brittney shouldn’t have altered the outfit.

“If my bridesmaid had the cheek to do this to the dress that I chose, I would tell her not to have come to the wedding,” one woman wrote huffily.

“I would never be okay with this,” wrote a second person. “I hope you didn’t steal attention from your friend.”

A third chipped in: “What if she wanted the same look for everyone? Did you even check in with the bride?”

And a fourth said: “You could have not paid $300 for a dress you hated. That’s money that could have easily gone into a style you liked.”

However, plenty of people said Brittney did an amazing job at altering her gown – and we couldn’t agree more.

"Am I the only one who is obsessed with the after?" one person said. "It's literally so stunning and so flattering!"

"I can't believe the number of negative comments on this post," said a second. "You killed it! The dress looks amazing, I'm sure your friend would love it."

A third added: "Are y'all okay? If I was getting married, I would want my bridesmaid's to feel their best. The bride will be in a big white gown. [Brittney] is not overstepping, geez," while a fourth added: "Beautiful! No bride wants their bridesmaids to look frumpy in the pictures. You did a great job!"

It just goes to show that you really can't please everyone.
