Think you're having bad luck with dating? Well, in today's instalment of date stories that will make your eyes roll into the back of your head, one woman has shared the utterly unbelievable interaction she had with her Tinder date after putting a sanitary pad into his bin.

Honestly, you couldn't make this stuff up...

Posting on Reddit, the anonymous dater asked users of the forum whether she was in the wrong for disposing of her pad in her date's toilet bin.

How could she have come to this conclusion, you might ask? Well, just read what happened, below:

"I met a dude on Tinder a few weeks ago, and we seemed to really hit it off. We had a lot of the same hobbies, and I felt a spark between us that I’m sure he felt too," she wrote.

"After we passed the talking phase, we decided to meet at his house for coffee.

"It was great when I arrived. We talked loads, and even held hands!

"However, I was on the third day of my period, and after a couple of hours I needed to change my pad.

"I ask for the bathroom, and he directs me to it.

"After I finish changing, I notice his trashcan is pretty full. Not sure what to do I wrap it in toilet paper and sort of smooth it into the trash can so it isn’t sitting on the edge.

"We hang out for about an hour more and [he] excuses himself to the bathroom. A few minutes pass by and he comes out, and says he needs to talk with me.

"He says that I shouldn’t have thrown away my pad because he might touch it when taking out the trash, and that it was gross and unsanitary.

"Apparently he saw that the trash looked different, unwrapped the toilet paper, and saw my used pad."

She added: "I was mortified. I apologised profusely, and he seemed to take it well. He just told me not to do it again, and if I needed to, just walk a few blocks to a nearby grocery store to change.

"I left after that, not [thinking] too much of it."

As you can imagine, the reaction to this post was rather passionate.

One user wrote: "What the hell? Since when is having your body functioning normally a crime? And if it's so gross and unsanitary, why did he touch it and unwrapped it on purpose!? Also, who the f*ck unwraps a pad? Wtf."

They went on: "She shouldn't have apologised, he shamed her for behaving in a very normal way while acting like a complete moron.

"Even if he didn't know it was a pad, who just goes to dig through their trash to look for what their visitor threw away..."

A fellow Redditor agreed: "LEAVE HIS HOUSE AND WALK TO A GROCERY STORE TO CHANGE A PAD IN THE LOCAL CUSTOMER TOILETS???!!!!

"Don't just dump this man; lock the lid on the dumpster after so he can't interact with women anymore."

"'Unsanitary' yet he dives into the trashcan with his bare hand and unwraps stuff. Wth," someone else mused.

While another had a theory as to the Tinder date's odd behaviour...

"He clearly has other women in his life and doesn't want her to think it's OK to leave evidence behind of her being there. I would've thrown my pad against the wall and left," they wrote.

Honestly, whether it's this or the fact he's simply scared of a woman's bodily functions, we'd be dumping this guy faster than the speed of light.
