Well actually, perhaps not.
One woman revealed the strange reason why her boyfriend decided to shell out on a beautiful bouquet - and it's enough to make you gag.

Taking to TikTok, Chloe Kinnersley asked her followers: "Anyone else blessed with a boyfriend like this?"
She then explained: "So, my boyfriend got me some flowers, cute. Let's read the special note, shall we?"

The flowers had come with a small blue card, which Chloe may have been hoping would contain a heartfelt message, actually contained something a lot more surprising.
"A special note for you," Chloe read, before flicking open the card - which read: "I am sorry for leaving a poo in the toilet."
Well, charming.

The video has since gone viral, amassing 140,000 views and over 11,000 likes from amused TikTokkers who found Chloe's boyfriend's antics hilarious.
"He's a keeper," joked one viewer in the comments, while a second added: "Well...it's honest, at least."
"At least he got you flowers, girl!" a third pointed out, rightly.
Others wished their partners would give them some flowers every time their bowels made themselves know.

"Nope, my boyfriend will call me to the loo to show off how big his poo is. FML," one woman joked.
"My boyfriend needs to up his game, I just get left a poo to flush," a second moaned.
And some wondered what this boyfriend would buy if he did something really bad, to which Chloe replied: "Bigger flowers."
In other relationships news, people were left completely stunned when one woman announced she was planning to quit her job in order to plan her wedding.

In a screenshot posted on Reddit, the bride-to-be explained that she also expected her fiancé to take up a second job to help pay for the big day.
