People Are Sharing The Biggest Red Flags They've Seen On Dates

Major yikes alert.

There’s always some excitement ahead of a first date, but with that excitement of meeting someone knew comes major trepidation.

After all, they could be the love of your life…or they could be a total weirdo.

And now, people are taking to Reddit to share some of the huge, glaring red flags they’ve spotted while out on a first date.

In the thread, one person shared their experience on a date with a bad loser: “We were playing mini golf and he was losing so he screamed, all red faced, and hit the ground multiple times with his golf club.

“He asked me out a second time and I said no. He claims he didn't know what he did wrong.”

Another discussed how they were turned off when someone laughed at them for taking their safety seriously.

“Made fun of me for putting on my seat belt,” she wrote. “Proceeded to do donuts in the mall parking lot.”

And a third person revealed that one particularly aggressive date wouldn’t let them have their mobile: “He took my phone off of me and when I wouldn’t give him the passcode I had to physically wrestle it off of him,” they wrote. “First date. I wish I was joking.”

Of course, some of the first red flags listed go from the eye-rolling to the downright creepy.

One person shared their friend’s utterly terrifying experience.

“I had to pick up my friend from the side of the road because her date picked her up, then pulled over on the side of the freeway to ‘see what was in the forest.’” They said. “She got out of there and never heard from him again.”

Another told a similarly terrifying tale.

“He showed up to my house three hours later and stood outside my door for an hour and a half, trying to coerce my roommate to let him in, saying he had forgotten something inside,” they explained. “She didn't as I was asleep and she thought it was dodgy.

“I never told him where I lived.”

A third said: “I once went on a date with a man who told me that he had battered his previous girlfriend. He seemed to feel sort of bad about it, but also told me that she ‘made’ him hit her, so it wasn't really all his fault.

“I didn't see him again.”

It’s a good reminder to always be careful when on a date - always tell a friend where you're going, and leave if you don't feel comfortable.
