The Hills: New Beginnings Reboot Announced By MTV

Just when you thought the VMAs couldn't get more exciting, MTV announced that The Hills would be making a comeback after eight long, long years, and there's already a teaser trailer...

That's right, ultimate reality villains Spencer and Heidi Pratt (aka Speidi) along with their little boy Gunner, Audrina Patridge, Justin Bobby, Stephanie Pratt, Jason Wahler and Frankie Delagado all reunited on Monday night to mark the exciting announcement.

It's still unclear which of the iconic reality stars will be appearing in the show, but seeing as Stephanie provided the voice-over for the new trailer, it looks like she may be the leading lady in the reboot.

Granted, it doesn't look like Lauren Conrad will be making a return to the show, as she didn't make the reunion on the pink VMA's red carpet, but LC's currently living her best life with hubby, William Tell, and her gorgeous baby boy, Liam somewhere in Cali.

Her arch enemy, Kristen Cavallari, wasn't their either, nor was former on-off love interest Brody Jenner. LC's work BFF Whitney Port is reportedly making a comeback though, who's married and has a baby of her own, Sonny.

So far, we know that the series will be called The Hills: New Beginnings, with MTV promising that it's 'coming soon'.

The show will reportedly reunite the OG cast 'alongside their children, friends and returning favourites, and follow their personal and professional lives while living in Los Angeles'.

As the trailer pans around Hollywood, Stephanie can be heard telling fans: "It's like we're all growing up. It's weird." Well, we'd hope after eight years, you'd have all grown up a little, Steph.

Natasha Bedingfield's iconic 'Unwritten' track has been replaced with an acoustic version, but we're still getting all the nostalgia. We can only hope that the new reboot series will live up to the six seasons that came before it.

There's been rumours of rifts between some of the cast, with some suggesting that Audrina and LC hadn't spoken since the end of the show.

Lauren and Heidi never truly made up after that iconic 'forgive and forget' fallout, although in LC's The Hills finale, she attended her wedding to Spencer, despite Lauren literally hating his guts.

Hopefully, The Hills: New Beginnings will be everything we ever wanted and more since the show ended.
