Don't freak out, but Mean Girls: The Musical is officially coming to London's West End.

Yep, that's right. It's time to grab your favourite plastics and plan a trip to the theatre because *finally* the musical is arriving for its highly-anticipated UK run.

After a mega successful US tour, the musical is expected to land in the UK in late spring 2021.

And yes, we know that's still over a year to wait, but we can all agree it will be oh-so worth it.

While it's not confirmed which London theatre will be home to Mean Girls: The Musical, Savoy's Theatre is thought to be in the running.

The plot is basically the same, with a few tweaks to bring Mean Girls up to date with the modern era and the social media age.

Tina Fey, who wrote the 2004 film as well as the musical, confirmed the theatre spin-off would be coming to the UK in spring 2021.

Stage producer Lorne Michaels added: "It has been a joy to work on 'Mean Girls' and to watch it go from film, to musical, and now to musical film.

"I am very proud that Tina's story and characters continue to resonate with new generations.

"We are all excited to continue to work with Sonia Friedman and her team as we prepare for London."

And it's not the only exciting Mean Girls news, with the musical version of the film also being adapted into *another* movie.

Speaking to Variety, Tina said in a statement: "I'm very excited to bring 'Mean Girls' back to the big screen.

"It's been incredibly gratifying to see how much the movie and the musical have meant to audiences.

"I've spent sixteen years with these characters now. They are my Marvel Universe and I love them dearly."

Get in loser, we're going to the theatre.
