If you told us you could fly to Australia and back for just over £200, you wouldn't believe us, would you? But thanks to Qantas Airlines' brand new promotion, you really could be.

The airline has announced that, for its 100 year anniversary, it is releasing 100 'Golden Tickets' which contain return flights to Heathrow for just £205 ($265).

The economy flights set off from London Heathrow and arrive in Sydney - but if you want to get your hands on one you'd better be quick.

There will only be 20 'Golden Tickets' on sale each day, and they're sure to sell out fast.

On its website Qantas writes: "For 100 hours only, we'll be releasing 100 Golden Tickets. From midday each day, there'll be 20 Golden Tickets from London Heathrow to Sydney, for just £205 Economy return."

The first 20 Qantas tickets were put up on the website yesterday at midday, and were gone just minutes later, so you'd better start planning your military operation to get one.

This isn't the only promotion to welcome the airline's 100th year.

It also has bargain return flights to Singapore for £502 and Perth for £699 from London Heathrow.

Plus, for its American customers, it will also be offering 100 airfares each day for $100 - that's just £77.30.

The promotion, which started yesterday (18th November) and ends on Thursday 21st November, will give US shoppers the chance to jet to Australia from various cities, with details and fares released at approximately 2pm PST/ 5pm EST each day.

Today's deal offers American buyers flights from San Francisco to Melbourne or Brisbane for the tiny sum.

The airline also plans to offer the same US deal (on separate days) for airfares from Dallas/Fort Worth and Chicago.

Happy birthday Qantas! Now, who's battling us for a 'Golden Ticket'?
