Spontaneous holiday, anyone?

If you're itching to get a summer holiday in the diary then now's the time to book.

Eurostar is currently selling tickets to Paris, Brussels and Lille for as little as £29 for the spring/summer season.

So, anyone up for a trip to France?

The bargain fares were flagged by the eagle-eyed folk at HotUKdeals, who pointed out you could currently buy a return to these destinations for just £58.

The staggeringly low journeys are available from April through to July, including the Easter holidays and May half term. Result!

Of course, the lowest fares are subject to availability, so you'd better be quick if you want to snap them up.

If you don't bag a £29 journey, there are also some options for £36.50, too. And remember, unlike when you travel by plane, Eurostar lets you bring on 'hold baggage' for free.

And the best thing is you can keep your Eurostar ticket for 2-for-1 entry to a whole range of museums and galleries, simply by showing your Eurostar ticket at the gate.

You can book these directly through the Eurostar website. Go, go, go!

In other hot travel news, you can also use the international train service to travel to Amsterdam directly, in a brand new service that launched last month.

A direct outbound route from London St Pancras to Amsterdam already existed, but up until recently, passengers were required to change at Brussels upon their return for custom checks, before boarding a Eurostar back to London.

However, from 30th April, custom checks will take place at Rotterdam, so passengers can stay on the train all the way to London, without the disruption of having to change.

Tickets for the new journey type, which are a mega cheap £35 each way, can also be bought via Eurostar's website.

Time for a holiday, we think!
