You Can Rent An Entire Private Island For £32 A Night

If getting away to a private island is high on your holiday wishlist this year, but seems like it could cost quite a bit, then think again - as guests can rent out a whole private island just outside Venice for a very appealing price.

The best thing about this rental is its cost. Guests can rent out this luxury holiday getaway for just £32 per person per night.

The private island, Island Falconera, is set within the Venetian lagoon and the whole place can be rented through Airbnb.

The unique holiday experience includes a typical Venetian farmhouse that sleeps 16 people, a kitchen, three bathrooms and a spacious dining room with loft.

"Welcome to Valle Falconera, a private island located next to Cavallino-Treporti, in the venetian lagoon," the listing teases. "The location of this place, very close to Venice and surrounded by fauna and flora makes it a unique choice."

The listing also promises a "different experience" for visitors and we can certainly see why. It is only possible to visit this luxury island by boat, a trip that must be booked in advance.

But with access to the entire island, that's a small price to pay.

Host Anna Sarzetto transformed the 50-acre island, previously her grandmother's home, into the luxury getaway with the help of her family. She started to rent it out to guests three years ago and has also recently started a farm on the land.

The keen agriculturist now grows vegetables on the island, keeps chickens who lay their own eggs and cultivates honey, as well as catching local seafood from the lagoon.

Anna told The Daily Mail: "All of our products are biological and we have won a prize for our honey because of its unique flavour.

"The taste comes from plants that only live in the lagoon."

And for keen nature lovers, Anna adds that visitors can also spot pink flamingos in the island's surrounding waters - and we're ready to book the whole place tbh.

For smaller groups of visitors, a stay at Valle Falconera starts at £71 per night, but the whole island can be rented out for £509 a night, excluding fees, which works out at an appealing £32 per person for 16 people.
