It turns out celebs aren't the only ones to fall victim to having their revealing pictures leaked online - journalist Sarah O'Connell has exposed one owl's legs and people are freaking out.

Known for their big hypnotic eyes and the fact that they can rotate their heads almost 360 degrees, we've just discovered these birds of prey have one hidden trait that you probably didn't know about.

Take a look at the picture above - on the right you'll see a cute little owl happily minding its own business but look left and you're in for a surprise. Yep, these thick-feathered creatures actually have really long legs.

The picture was captioned: "I was today years old when I learned low long owl legs are!"

It since gone viral with 2.1k likes and 619 retweets so far and needless to say, the image has left people in a flap.

"Sorry no, I won't accept this," said one user, to which another replied: "Me either. I'm very disturbed."

"This is the funniest thing I've seen all year. The way the owl is looking away as if to say 'ok mate don't take the piss'' said one user.

Another tweeted that: "My son is now severely traumatised after seeing this, and has forbidden me from showing it to his little sister because it would scar her for life."

One guy refuses to admit the truth, saying: "that's not a real picture. Owls don't have long legs like that. Photoshopped."

The tweet has also bought other freaky animal facts out of the woodwork, like the fact that penguins have VERY long necks:
