A Blood Moon Is Coming And It Could Make You Super Moody

Us gals have it tough enough as it is with mother nature, but as if our mood swings weren't enough, a blood moon is on its way to make things 100 times as worse...

For those wondering what the heck the blood moon is, it is not another novel in the Twilight saga, as it's actually a lunar eclipse taking place later this week, and there was another one earlier this year.

It sounds like a bit of a mouthful, but if we break it down, 'super' means that the moon is closer than usual and 'blood' is all down to the colour. Direct sunlight is blocked by the earth's shadow causing the bright orange hue.

Astrologers believe that the blood moon can send all of our emotions into overdrive, and there is one heading our way on Friday, 27th July.

But it is even worse news for a certain star sign, as astrologers think that anyone who is an Aquarius could feel the effects of this blood moon the most. Brace yourself if you're born in between 20th January and 18th February.

According to Bustle, it is all because 'the moon and Mars in retrograde are taking over your sign', meaning your usually carefree soul might change. The blood moon could make Aquarians 'eager to pick a fight and feeling more dramatic than usual'. Uh oh.

Apparently, full moons can have a negative impact on people's sleeping pattern which in turn makes for grouchy people.via GIPHY

Migraine.com explains: "The full moon has an impact on serotonin levels, a chemical in our bodies that regulates mood, among other things.

Its imbalance could be the cause for the wide ranging reports from emergency rooms during full moons regarding the increase of incidences involving migraines, alcoholism, epilepsy, menstrual cycles, car accidents, anxiety, depression, sexual activity, homicides, insomnia and diarrhoea."

Excellent.
