Several locations within the Houses of Parliament have tested positive for traces of cocaine, it has been reported.
According to an investigation carried out by VICE, nine separate areas within in the buildings were tested for the drug and four were found to be conclusive.
The publication reported that rooms were tested with pale pink wipes that turn blue if traces of the Class A drug is present.
And the highest residue of the substance was found in the bathrooms outside the Strangers Bar, which used by members of parliament as well as high-ranking public officials, guests and visitors alike.
While the disabled toilets outside The Woolsack, another bar in Westminster, and two other bathrooms outside of MPs' offices also tested positive.
A Parliamentary spokesperson said of the report: "Parliament takes the issue of substance misuse very seriously and offers a range of welfare and health support services for those who need them.
"Parliament is a public place and we welcome over a million visitors a year who have access to the facilities. Should drug use be identified in Parliament, appropriate action would be taken."
The report comes after Michael Gove along with a number of candidates for the Conservative leadership revealed their history of illegal drug use.
The Environment Secretary came clean about snorting cocaine "on several occasions" 20 years while a "young journalist" and branded it "a mistake", before he crashed out of the leadership race.
He told the Daily Mail: "I took drugs on several occasions at social events more than 20 years ago.
"At the time I was a young journalist. It was a mistake. I look back and think 'I wish I hadn't done that'.
Adding: "It was 20 years ago and yes, it was a mistake. But I don't believe that past mistakes disqualify you."
But Gove wasn't alone in his frank admission as former leadership candidate Rory Stewart admitted and apologised for smoking opium at a wedding in Iran.
While Jeremy Hunt, who is still in the race for the Tory leadership, Dominic Raab and Andrea Leadsom all confirmed they had previously used cannabis.
