Last week, the body of a woman, aged just 19, was found in Chicago with her baby cut out of her stomach. Reportedly, she was lured to a house under the pretence of picking up free baby clothes, but was strangled and had her baby stolen.
Marlen Ochoa-Uriostegui was married and had a three-year-old son.
The Chicago Tribune reported that a spokeswoman for the victim's family, Cecelia Garcia, said: "[A woman] was giving clothes away, supposedly under the pretence that her daughters had been given clothes and they had all these extra boy clothes."
The entire situation is tragic and devastating, but there's something a little more hopeful to report as the baby, who is in a critical condition, has now opened his eyes.

The baby, named Yovanny Jardiel, has been reunited with his father and Marlen's husband, Yiovanny Lopez.
Two women have been charged for Marlen's murder, 46-year-old Clarisa Figueroa and her 24-year-old daughter, Desiree Figueroa .
Clarisa reportedly called 911 to say that she had given birth to a baby but that he was "not breathing", and took him into the hospital.
Reports suggest she had blood on her face and body, and showed no signs of childbirth, however was not reported to police by the hospital.

Authorities speculated that she and her daughter wanted to raise the baby as their own.
According to People, another spokesperson for the victim's family, Emma Lozano, said: "The baby does have some brain activity, and he has recently - I think it was not last night but the night before, when his dad and his little brother was with him - he started to open his eyes."
She added: "Right now he can't breathe on his own and can't swallow, and those functions are extremely important and there hasn't been any change since he came in.

"Those conversations of whether he can be taken off of life support will be had with [husband] Yovany and the family in the future, but right now they're just being introduced to their baby."
Yiovanny has understandably been finding it hard to cope with the incredibly traumatic events.
Lozano said: "Once he was able to meet his child and hear the prognosis, which none of that shows that his child has a future with any type of quality of life, I think all of these things have been overwhelming to him."
The family have set up a GoFundMe page for contributions to help with the baby's recovery.
