Pubs will officially be allowed to open from 6am tomorrow, it has now been confirmed.
On 'Super Saturday', the hospitality industry will begin to cautiously return to life, with stringent new social distancing and Covid hygiene measures in place.
And the government has now confirmed the fine details of the lockdown easing, stating that pubs will be allowed to reopen from 6am on July 4th, while the rest of their lockdown relaxation rules will come into effect from midnight.
A spokesperson for the PM said that the 6am start point was a "sensible precaution" to ensure pubs didn't try and open up at midnight, prompting a rush of custom.

"The reopen date should be in the daytime on July 4th," they confirmed.
Of course, this will all depend on the licensing of your local boozer, so it's worth checking before rocking up in the early hours.
Wetherspoon, for example, doesn't open until 8am, while Greene King pubs aren't back until Monday, to ensure safety measures are in place to keep customers safe.
In their announcement, Downing Street added that pubs and restaurants will not have to put a limit on the amount of time people can spend inside, although some may choose to, as a precaution.

It comes after Boris Johnson pleaded with the public to be "sensible" when returning to their favourite boozers and restaurants, and ensure to maintain social distancing to prevent a second surge of coronavirus.
He added that the move would be revoked if people didn't act "responsibly," and said it was the responsibility of customers not to "let down" the hospitality industry, which so desperately needs to reopen.
As of tomorrow, hairdressers can also start seeing customers again - to the delight of many of us who now have crazy lockdown barnets.

All of these facilities will insist on 1 metre social distancing at the very least, between anyone who is not in the same household.
They will also have advanced hygiene protocols in place, and take details of customers as a precaution in case of the event of a localised outbreak.
