Musician Phoebe Bridgers has joined the growing list of women making allegations against shock rocker Marilyn Manson after detailing an interaction between them when Phoebe was a teenager.

On Thursday, Phoebe - who is rumoured to be dating Normal People star Paul Mescal - tweeted that she had visited Marilyn's home when she was a teenager and was shown a room that he referred to as "the rape room".

Phoebe wrote: "TW: I went to Marilyn Manson's house when I was a teenager with some friends. I was a big fan. He referred to a room in his house as the 'r*pe room', I thought it was just his horrible frat boy sense of humour. I stopped being a fan."

She added: "I stand with everyone who came forward."

Phoebe followed up her original tweet and said: "The label knew, management knew, the band knew. Distancing themselves now, pretending to be shocked and horrified is f*cking pathetic."

On Monday, Manson's former partner Evan Rachel Wood posted a statement on Instagram which accused Marilyn Manson of abuse. They were engaged in 2010 but their relationship ended several months later.

"The name of my abuser is Brian Warner, also known to the world as Marilyn Manson," she wrote.

"He started grooming me when I was a teenager and horrifically abused me for years. I was brainwashed and manipulated into submission."

Wood added: "I am done living in fear of retaliation, slander or blackmail. I am here to expose this dangerous man and call out the many industries that have enabled him, before he ruins any more lives.

"I stand with the many victims who will no longer be silent."

Evan also shared similar stories from photographer Ashley Walters, model Sarah McNeilly, an artist who identified herself only as Gabriella as well as student Ashley Morgan.

On Wednesday, Dita Von Teese, Marilyn Manson's ex-wife, also addressed the accusations.

Dita was in a relationship with Marilyn for seven years and the pair were married from 2005 to 2006.

She said that while "the details made public do not match my personal experience", she urges "those of you who have incurred abuse to take steps to heal".

"I have been processing the news that broke Monday regarding Marilyn Manson. To those who have expressed your concerns of my well-being, I appreciate your kindness," Dita said.

"Please know that the details made public do not match my personal experience during our 7 years together as a couple," she continued, explaining that their relationship ended because of "infidelity and drug abuse.

"Had they, I would not have married him in December 2005. I left 12 months later due to infidelity and drug abuse. Abuse of any kind has no place in any relationship. I urge those of you who have incurred abuse to take steps to heal and the strength to fully realise yourself.

"This is my sole statement on this matter. Thank you for respecting this request."

Marilyn vehemently denied the allegations in a statement this week, saying: "Obviously, my art and my life have long been magnets for controversy, but these recent claims about me are horrible distortions of reality.

"My intimate relationships have always been entirely consensual with like-minded partners. Regardless of how - and why - others are now choosing to misrepresent the past, that is the truth."

Tyla has contacted reps for Marilyn for comment.
