A Full Wolf Moon Is Coming This Week – Here’s What It Means For You

Astrologers, set your alarms, because there's set to be a stunning Full Wolf Moon in the sky this Friday, and it's going to be a sight to behold.

Arriving as the first of 12 full moons in 2020, the Full Wolf Moon will be visible in the sky from around 19:10 GMT, and is expected to be sitting rather low on the horizon.

This time it's extra special because it coincides with a penumbral lunar eclipse - which is when the sun, earth and moon are all imperfectly aligned.

This often means that the earth blocks some of the Sun's light from reaching the surface of the moon, thus covering part of the moon with its shadow and making it appear darker than normal.

The Full Wolf Moon is named due to the fact that hungry wolf packs howled outside their camps at this time of year back in the day of the Native American tribes.

But it's not a visual phenomenon that's been recognised through the ages. According to New York based astrologer, Lisa Stardust, the Full Wolf Moon and the eclipse could also spell a new chapter in a lot of our lives, and an opportunity for "personal growth and evolution".

Explaining the phenomenon, she exclusively told Tyla that this lunar eclipse will allow us to "let go of drama" and "move into the next phase of our lives".

She added: "While it may be hard to move forward, keep in mind that personal growth and evolution is essential in order for us all to become the people we want to be."
