Members of the public are furious after - having faced coronavirus restrictions for almost 16 months - it has emerged that the government will allegedly allow thousands of football VIPs to attend the Euro finals - without the need to quarantine.
According to The Telegraph, some Uefa officials, politicians and sponsors will not have to isolate for 10 days upon arrival into the UK.
It comes after reports that Uefa had considered moving the matches to Budapest if the VIPs faced quarantine rules.

According to the publication, the agreement still requires sign off, but it is reported the exemption will commence on 5th July and will remain in place until after the final.
It comes after ministers announced on Tuesday that Wembley will increase its capacity to 75 per cent, enabling 60,000 fans to attend the stadium for both the semi-final and final matches.
It's believed the VIPs will have to provide a negative test pre-departure and have testing during their stay.

And Brits are absolutely furious. One person wrote on Twitter: "Is this some sort of joke Mr Johnson? 60,000 fans and VIPs can attend Wembley for the football without quarantining but yet we STILL can't attend music events in the same venue! How can you justify that?!
"You're really making a mockery of everything and everyone."
While another said: "Ridiculous that thousands of so-called vips being allowed to come from abroad to watch football without quarantine. Double standards!"

And a third added: "In my mind it's very difficult to justify allowing thousands of 'football VIPs' into the country quarantine free when millions of families have been unable to see loved ones overseas for so long.
Very difficult indeed."
"Absolutely appalling any exceptions are being made for VIPs to watch a football match when people are unable to see elderly or ill relatives abroad for months on end. A football match! Really!!" added a fourth.
A government source told The Telegraph: "It's important to be able to host international events such as the Euros, and there will be strict mitigations for those attending in order to protect public health, similar to those used at the G7."
