Emma Corrin has updated their Instagram bio with their preferred pronouns 'she/they'.

Fans spotted the update on Tuesday and have praised the star for opening up about their gender identity.

The Crown star also shared intimate black and white pictures showing them in boxing wrap and ghdy described their experience buying and wearing a binder for the first time.

The 25-year-old said in the caption: "We used boxing wrap, thanks for capturing this with me, very intimate, very new, very cool. It's all a journey right. Lots of twists and turns and change and that's ok! Embrace it."

Breast binding is a practice in which the breasts are flattened using constrictive materials. The act is also known as chest binding.

There are many reasons why a person may choose to bind their breasts including for a flatter chest or to affirm a person's gender identity or expression.

Emma also tagged the LGBTQ owned binder brand gc2b on Instagram.

Fans took to the comments section to praise Emma for opening up about their gender identity.

Emma starred as Diana, Princess of Wales in the most recent season of The Crown.

The fourth season dropped in November 2020 and explored the period between 1979 and 1990, including Diana and Prince Charles' marriage.
