Have you ever wondered what you might find on Carole Middleton's playlist? Well if you have, we can now make a few guesses because Kate Middleton's mum has revealed she's actually huge fan of house music.

Carole sat down with Good Housekeeping for an exclusive interview for their April issue.

"People are often surprised to know that I love house music - something with a good beat - and so does [husband] Mike!" she said.

Carole also admits to being a big Jess Glynne fan, adding: "At the moment I get up and dance to Jess Glynne, so the family tease me as I always put her on."

When she's not enjoying house music, Carole runs her own party decorations business, Party Pieces.

"The business has a CEO now, so I have the luxury of being able to focus on new ideas and how to grow, which is always an enjoyable challenge," she explains.

Carole also spoke about being a 'hands on' grandmother.

"I want to run down the hills, climb the trees and go through the tunnel at the playground," she says. "As long as I am able to, that's what I'll be doing. I cook with them, I muck around dancing, we go on bike rides."

In other news, on Thursday it was confirmed by Buckingham Palace that Prince Philip has undergone heart surgery.

The Duke of Edinburgh, who has now been in hospital for two-and-a-half weeks, underwent the operation on Wednesday and is now recuperating.

The Palace said in a statement: "The Duke of Edinburgh yesterday underwent a successful procedure for a pre-existing heart condition at St Bartholomew's Hospital.

"His Royal Highness will remain in hospital for treatment, rest and recuperation for a number of days."

The Duke of Edinburgh, 99, was this week transferred from King Edward VII's Hospital to St Bartholomew's Hospital in London to continue his treatment after initially being taken ill with an infection.
