Say goodbye to the chilly temperatures and torrential rain because the UK is expected to get some very dreamy weather next week.

Yep, it's time to dust the debris off your paddling pool and stock up on your charcoal because come Sunday, we'll be basking in some glorious warm weather.

While over the next couple of days we'll have to endure some breezy and chilly weather across the UK, on Sunday, conditions will dramatically improve and we'll be treated to highs of 23-24 degrees celsius.

Speaking to Tyla, Met Office spokesperson Grahame Madge explained: "We are in summer now so we are expecting some warmer periods of weather.

"In terms of temperatures, we're looking at a bit of a range across the UK, but on Sunday there'll be highs of 24 in Norwich, 22 in Manchester and 23 in London and Leeds.

"It'll be around 21 in Newcastle and a little warmer in Glasgow at 22. Meanwhile, in Belfast and Wales, we can expect highs of 20.

"Moving into Monday, we're looking at similar values. There's potential for it to be around two degrees warmer but generally similar to Sunday.

"There's potential for higher temperatures, so for examples Birmingham could range from 17-27 with a suggested temperature of 22.

"For those higher temperatures to be reached we will need more sunshine and calmer conditions. We might see an isolated 25 degrees in places."

Sadly, it's expected there will still be the odd shower here and there despite the warm temperatures, with Grahame explaining on Sunday, there'll be some showers developing in the west while the east will be clearer.

Meanwhile on Monday, there's the chance for some odd showers across the country, with the forecast looking a little cloudier.

Moving through next week, temperatures are expected to reach low to mid twenties throughout the UK, with patchy rain and cloud throughout.

As long as it's over 20, the bikini and cocktails are coming out!
