From a Romford barber shop and a Gloucestershire farm, to the famed Spanish villa on the biggest reality show of 2017, Chris Hughes and Kem Cetinay are now number one grime artists with their new tune, 'Little Bit Leave It'.

Love Island fans fell in love with their budding bromance on the show, as the BFFs tried to perfect their rapping abilities and find love at the same time.

Following their exit from the villa, the pair launched a new spin-off show, Straight Outta Love Island, and have just released a grime track which rocketed to the number one slot on iTunes.

However, you'll probably remember that there used to actually be three members of KMC, and devout fans were left gutted and confused after Marcel Somerville quit the trio.

Speaking exclusively to PRETTY52, Kem and Chris have finally explained why Marcel left the band, and responded to rife 'jealousy' claims.

Chris revealed: "Well [Marcel] went and made his own track."

"He was obviously in Blazin' Squad himself so when he left he wanted to kind of pursue other things as well. He left and made his own song," explained Kem.

"Obviously, it all started off as the Chris and Kem programme and then that is where the offer has come from the record deal."

The boys also revealed how they had no idea what was going to happen before they started filming Straight Outta Love Island.

"If you've watched the programme we get called into meetings and we didn't know ourselves before the programme started what was actually going to happen," added Kem.

The reality stars both blasted claims that Marcel was 'jealous' of them. Kem, who is still loved-up with Amber Davies, continued: "I don't think [Marcel's] jealous, I think he's supportive. I'm not sure he'd want to come back. I think the whole song is a massive part of the show and the whole journey so I think he knows it's a Chris and Kem thing.

"It's kinda like we are Chris and Kem now. Obviously it was so fun doing it with Marcel in the villa and he's a good friend.

"That is our brand now. It wouldn't make sense changing it after all of this."

Doesn't sound like KMC reunion is going to be on the cards any time soon then, but I'm glad there's no hard feelings. We loved their rapping on the show...

On release of their new song, fans called out Marcel after he tweeted the duo "hate" on Twitter. That doesn't sound like our Marcel?!

In a tweet that has now been deleted, the former Blazin' Squad star wrote: "@KemCetinay @chrishughes_22 boys the tune sounds sick!!! I hope u did the right thing with the chorus & the bars I wrote. #LittleBitLeaveIt [sic]."

Obviously everyone felt he was making a "muggy" dig at the boys, and fans were quick to call him out on it.

One wrote: "Sounds like you're hating a little bit leave it."

Another added: "'I wrote' let them have their time, why did u have to write this for all to see?"

Ooops.
