Tom Hanks And Rita Wilson Test Positive For Coronavirus
Tom Hanks and his wife, Rita Wilson have both tested positive for coronavirus, they confirmed yesterday.
Taking to Instagram, Tom explained how the couple, both 63, sought medical advice after suffering from symptoms.
Posting an image of a discarded surgical glove, the Oscar-winning actor wrote: "Hello, folks. Rita and I are down here in Australia. We felt a bit tired, like we had colds, and some body aches. Rita had some chills that came and went.
"Slight fevers too. To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the Coronavirus, and were found to be positive.
"Well, now. What to do next? The Medical Officials have protocols that must be followed. We Hanks' will be tested, observed, and isolated for as long as public health and safety requires.
"Not much more to it than a one-day-at-a-time approach, no? We'll keep the world posted and updated! Take care of yourselves! Hanx!"

The US couple will now spend time in isolation. They were away from home in Australia while Tom has been working on an upcoming film.
Tom and Rita's son, Chet, also took to social media to thank fans for all their support.
"It's true, my parents got coronavirus, crazy. They're both down in Australia right now because my dad is shooting a movie down there.
"I just got off the phone with them, they're fine, they're not even that sick. They're not worried about it but they're going through the necessary precautions obviously [...] I think it's all going to be alright."
The news comes after the World Health Organisation declared the outbreak as a pandemic yesterday afternoon.
Meanwhile, Donald Trump has suspended all travel between the US and Europe (except the UK and Ireland) for the next 30 days.
