Horniman Museum in south London with play host to 'The Brick Wonders' exhibition, a 50-model show where visitors can take in brick-based replicas of the Great Barrier Reef, Great Pyramid of Giza and the International Space Station among other treasures - and the train ticket and entry fee costs a lot less than a round-the-world plane ticket.

And if seeing those marvels isn't enough for your big day out, some of the Natural History Museum's most fascinating exhibits will also be appearing in LEGO form.

The Natural History Museum's iconic ostrich with eggs and infamous overstuffed walrus has also been recreated in LEGO using 10,727 bricks in a marathon 142-hour building effort.

The iconic, portly walrus has been on display at the Natural History Museum for over 100 years and is famous because it was overstuffed - meaning it lacks the natural skin folds the animals have in the wild (most probably because the Victorian museum staff who stuffed it had no idea what a walrus was supposed to look like).

There'll also be interactive areas where visitors can play and have a go at building their own brick wonders, as well as a mini-cinema showing short LEGO animations.

To see the full collection, visit the Horniman Museum in Forest Hill, South London before 27th October, 2019. Tickets cost £8 (£18 for families, £4.50 for children) and you can purchase them here.

Can't get enough of the LEGO fun? A dinosaur-themed event is happening at Marwell Zoo in Kent.

'Brickosaurs' will have around 50 sculptures on show including the largest touring LEGO brick dinosaur model ever made - a whopping eight-metre Tyrannosaurus rex. It will also have "a few interactive surprises" when it opens in April.
