A London dog owner has been left devastated after his beloved dachshund and her entire litter of puppies were taken from his home in Petts Wood.

Owner Dave Serbarusbull explained that the sausage dog was recovering from a C-section after delivering six puppies when thieves targeted his home in South-East London on 23rd December.

The 55-year-old has been left distraught by the theft and is calling for the mother and her pups' safe return.

Dave shared a heart-wrenching Facebook post looking for the public's help, which has been shared more than 15,000 times, and explained that police are probing the theft.

The stolen pets' owner said: "As you can imagine we are absolutely devastated that we have had something stolen that is so precious to us all.

"Not only has she been stolen along with her beautiful babies, she has been through an ordeal in terms of having a C-section and she had also been spayed, so for her to be away from us and the family must be horrific for her."

He added: "Our two grandchildren are ringing everyday crying asking has she been returned yet.

"They are even asking us if they can give up all their toys what they got for Christmas and their pocket money so that the bad people will give us our doggies back."

In the Facebook post, in which he offered a reward for the dogs' return, or even any information concerning their disappearance.

Dave pleaded: "If the person or persons who have done this are reading this, return the dogs or leave them at a police station or somewhere."

What a horrific thing to happen. We're praying for the safe return of his pups.

If you have any information about the whereabouts of these dogs please contact authorities at Petts Wood And Knoll Police Station.
